For the fallen Dreams - Prologue

I woke up.
 It was a rainy day. The sky was grey, fully covered with clouds.
Rain drops were running down my bedroom window in small little Lines.  The TV was still running,
 but with volume turned out. The news were on, showing a totally destroyed street.  The houses were
 still burning, although it rained. Firemen were running around, screaming silently, carrying pipes and
 injured people from one place to another. It was ridiculously funny to see these afraid people, screaming,
 panicking  and crying without sound. It seemed so surreal.

I pulled myself up, to a sitting position. I grabbed a remote laying on the table beside my bed and turned
 the volume up.

"... still no clue what happened. It might have been a gas leek, but the police hasn't confirmed that yet.
 The fire brigade is working since 9am now..."

I looked down to the bottom left corner of the TV screen. The little clock there showed 4pm.

"... we're speaking with officer Spencer Knight. Sir, what is happening over there?"
  Officer Spencer Knight, a fat and sweating man with moustache and southern accent, replied:
"You don't have to worry! Everything is under control. It might only take minutes, at most an hour and the fire will be put out."
  Just as he finished his sentence, the building behind him exploded.

It was loud.
 So loud, I even could hear the original explosion. No, I even could feel it.
 It must have been somewhere around here.

Now everybody there was scared as hell. Everything was blurred, a mix out of dust, running people, blood, fire, rain and panic.
 I turned the TV off and stood up.
 I walked over the cold floor to the window.
 The sky wasn't grey anymore, it was black.
"Holy shit."
...
"That was loud."

       That was everything I could say at the moment.
